Greetings friends and family:
Yes, I know it’s been some time since I have shared my heart with you through Writing to Inspire, but I am back and even more determined to press forward and allow God to use me to encourage others. Since my last post, I’ve had my valley and mountain-top moments, but God is perfecting me through it all.
I’ve always been a perfectionist; wanting everything to be in place before I can move on. Well, I am learning that when you present to God what you have, with a sincere heart, He will receive it, bless it and multiply the gift, which in turn will bless others. The end result? God will get all the Glory!! This is my prayer for the Writing to Inspire Blog…that you will be encouraged; inspired and that God will get all of the Glory!
Today, it was pressed upon my heart to encourage the married couples. There is someone out there today that needs to read this message.
Today, as my husband and I were praying, we were praying over our marriage (as we always do), and calling out different couples asking God to strengthen them. Afterward, I heard these words:
Every step toward correction, no matter how small, is a step in the right direction, which is progression.
In every marriage, you will have your triumphs and challenges alike. Prayerfully more triumphs, but nevertheless, challenges will come. You are not alone.
Some of you have been wanting to give up. The devil would want nothing more than to make you feel that the small steps toward healing your marriage isn’t going to matter. He would try to make you believe that it’s too late. HE IS A LIAR! Remember…‟Every step toward correction, no matter how small, is a step in the right direction, which is progression.”
But I want you to ask yourself a question…What am I speaking over my marriage? Are you speaking life or are you speaking death? PLEASE, WATCH WHAT YOU SPEAK.
The word of God says in Proverbs 18:21…Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Another translation states, “many a one has caused his own death, or the death of others, by a false or injurious tongue.”
Our God, Creator of all things, spoke this world into existence…Let there be…and it came into existence (Genesis 1). What are you calling into existence regarding your marriage? Are you causing the death of your marriage with your words?
I want to encourage you today…don’t give up. I challenge you (both of you) to begin to speak God’s Word over your marriage and watch the restoration manifest.
Go to the following site and begin to speak life over your marriage:
If you need support, please feel free to send us your prayer request, and Jimmie and I will touch and agree with you. Send your praise reports as well…you never know who it will bless.
Listen and be encouraged:
